And if one was trying to reduce its consumption of disposable cotton in the bathroom?

It's a small gesture that I started doing it a few years ago by opting for the use of cleansing oil, which is directly applicable and rinsed with water, instead of liquid substances to be applied by via a cotton wool. But when the young French brand Lamazuna, a pioneer in developing innovative solutions for environmental and hygiene, offered me to test some of its products, I saw an opportunity to endeavor to further chipping away at my waste.

Their ecological Cleansing wipes, washable and reusable, made in Spain and France, in particular intrigued me, so I decided to start my test by them. Packed by disabled workers in a pretty poplar wood cabinet, they arise by 10 or 20 and are accompanied by an organic cotton washing net. They require only a small amount of water to function.Their pink face cleansing rather allows the eyes or darker colors, while the white side is more suited to the complexion, providing more visibility into residues still present on the skin, and lighter colors.

I used them for my makeup for several weeks, and it is clear that the concept was fun; it proved more convenient than what I expected. Today, I come to do a review of my impressions of this system in the form of a list of positives and small limits that I have found him. I hope the discovery will interest you as much as me!

Bons points

☞ They are effective

I never adds or micellar cleansing lotion when I use my wipes, yet their effectiveness is formidable. For my everyday makeup light (especially on the eyes, but not waterproof, plus a bit of blush or bronzer), a disk is enough for me to remove all traces in less than two minutes.

☞ They are economic

Lamazuna the wipes are a priori reusable 300 times, which dampens their cost over time. More importantly, they allow to make big bucks in terms of makeup removers, since they operate with only a little water. Better to have still a small bottle of makeup remover for waterproof make-ups ultra loaded, but it will last you much longer than usual.

☞ They are surprisingly sweet

As I explained in my last bookmarks beauty, very special weaving and microfiber material give the impression of "hook" truly makeup on these wipes. When rubbed, instead of sliding on the skin such as with cotton, it therefore feels the wipe grips slightly. While it is clear that the method is very soft due to the softness of the fibers, I was afraid at first that my reactive skin get irritated found, especially on the eyelids. After several weeks of use, I still have no awareness to report, and I therefore confirms that these wipes respect even the most delicate skin. Also note that if you are allergic to limestone, you can very well use of spring water, or just a lotion instead of tap water.

☞ They are practical and nomads

It would be difficult to further reduce its cleansing routine in terms of weight and storage space that wipes and using only his cock! When you are traveling or on a trip and we do not want to bring his entire bathroom with oneself is the best course I have ever found. Lighter suitcase guarantee!

☞ They are easy to clean

The quickest way is to put the little washing bag containing dirty wipes in the washing machine when you wash your clothes there, they all emerge clean. But it is not at all necessary to have a washing machine under the elbow dropping a few drops of liquid soap or with a little soap, simply rub them by hand to regain their original color.

☞ They dry quickly

When I use my final wipe clean the evening and I need to quickly store the next day because of a departure or another, I wash my dirty wipes and left to dry in my bathroom. In the morning, they are perfectly dry and ready to return to their box! In everyday life, fall in clean wipe down is absolutely not a problem: just wash it in place with a little soap and to use it as is, since it must in any case be wet before use .

☞ They gain flexibility with time

The first time I tried one of these wipes, I found it a tad too stiff and slightly waterproof. Fortunately, after a few uses, they become more flexible and more readily imbibe water. If they become too flexible and efficient enough, however, recommend the brand to the boil for a few minutes to reinvigorate the fibers - it's good to know!

Limitations

☞ They deteriorate somewhat over time

Nothing extraordinary there, but I would point out though that we must take some care to make them last longer.For my part, I washed them early enough so energetic, hand in my sink, until I realized that small fibers began to detach from the sides, to fray (see photo below -dessous). This does not hinder their use at all, but I am now more careful so they do not deteriorate too quickly.

☞ They do not fully replace cotton in the bathroom

When I received my wipes box, I had just finished my last packet of disposable cottons and I have not bought in, thinking that the wipes were signing their death warrant in my bathroom. But I went with my account while I nevertheless remains dependent on cotton for a few daily gestures, including the application of my hydrolat (I already tried with a wipe, the liquid is not absorbed enough or it was absorbed too), and some more punctual actions such as to apply an antiseptic on a wound.

My overall impression of this wipes system is very positive.

I believe it could mark a real difference in terms of consumption cottons and especially waste in all women who use disposable cotton daily to remove makeup (with a lotion or milk). Among those followers instead of oil, and thus already use some cottons, I think it is an excellent tip when moving or traveling, not having to carry the bottle - being myself often in airplanes, I am pleased to let my glass bottles behind me!

You will understand, I highly recommend you try it if the idea tempts you, and talk to your friends, hoping that these alternative methods eventually end up having a real impact on reducing waste we produce each year.
